Pierogi was founded in the early 90’s—a pioneering artist-led space in the first wave of galleries to develop a way of showing young artists that has since become ubiquitous. We feature the work of emerging and mid-career artists in an eclectic range of media—from the multi-dimensional works of Tavares Strachan to the panoramic drawings of Dawn Clements; and curated exhibitions such as the award-winning “Dead Tree” installation (our creation of the Robert Smithson work shown in Dusseldorf, 1969). Pierogi’s Flat Files, another element of the gallery, house portfolios of original works by 750+ artists. The traveling Flat Files have been exhibited in London, Vienna, Los Angeles and elsewhere.
